FROM DESIGN IDEATION TO DESIGN ADVISORY
Our Challenge was in short term to redesign the new App making the whole experience seamless and smart with an approach that is open to an international, wide, and diverse audience and to communicate more effectively the values of the brand.
In the medium to long term, the goal was to evolve the App through the creation of next-generation models and services and the implementation of advanced technologies.
The new KINTO Go App represents the core of an entire ecosystem of services designed to immerse the customer in the new mobility experience of the future.
BUILT AROUND PEOPLE’S NEEDS
As User Experience Designer I collaborated with the Fifth Beat team on the redesign of the Mobile application. The project started with an Opportunity Workshop to gather all the opportunities for improvement and innovation of the service. During these sessions with the stakeholders we started from the Pain Points to collect any elements that could provide operational directions for the first sprint of the project.
By mapping the "as-is" experience we identified the key moments to be reshaped, redefining the functionalities of the various services. The qualitative and quantitative research activity aimed on the main target allowed us to identify the final user's needs, defining the issues that represented the starting point to design the end-to-end experience.
EVOLVING THE SERVICE MODELS
The new interface simplifies the experience through an intuitive and immediate user journey whatever the way you choose to move.
Planning and searching among different transport solutions is easier and faster through the main GO function. The App calculates various travel routes, suggesting smart solutions to the user by calculating the fastest, cheapest, or most sustainable journey. Green transport routes and solutions involving electric vehicles are also promoted.
Voice search is supported as well as the dark mode setting, which is automatically activated at sunset to improve energy savings through the use of less brilliant colors.
A DIGITAL AND FLUID VISUAL IDENTITY
The visual identity was created to engage a younger and more digitally savvy customer base. Informal tones were chosen, with a colour palette and illustrations able to create a friendly atmosphere that allows you to focus on the main components of the interface. We have also increased the readability and clarity of all information and communications.
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED WITH A FULL-CASES USER JOURNEY
Multiple cycles of design, prototyping and usability testing with users have allowed us to optimize the digital experience, making the interface easy and quick to use, especially on mobile devices.
The experience is now highly interactive and engaging, thus increasing user satisfaction and strengthening brand loyalty. The new KINTO Go app guarantees a solution that’s clever, simple to use and kind to the environment whenever you need to move, wherever you are and becomes a true travel companion, able to make the mobility experience smooth and pleasant at every stage.
